‘Infoscape were appointed to install Rex to the Housekeeping Department at St Regis Hotel, Saadiyat. Prior meetings had been held to introduce the system and subsequent meetings and e-mail correspondence were entered into which confirmed the necessary data required. (e.g. room numbers and configurations, housekeeping sections for day service, Supervisor sections etc.) The Hotel’s Director of IT also worked closely with Infoscape at this time in the necessary interface requirements between Opera and Rex.
As a Management team, we were aware that hand-held devices to replace the normal printed task sheets would allow the department to introduce efficiencies and better monitor our attendant’s productivity, as well as expedite the Guest check-in experience.
Training for small staff groups was organized by the Deputy Director along with Paula Lewandowska of Infoscape. The support from Paula was constant and the system went live with her training support to all staff involved in the transition, from Managers to Office Co-ordinators to Supervisors to Room Attendants.
Subsequently, the after-support service offered by Infoscape has been prompt as well as consistent’
Rex reports have allowed for data to be accessed quickly and investigative reports to also be analyzed quickly in response to Senior management requests.
